The Ciresa Company was established in Tesero- Trento in 1952 by Enrico Ciresa (1922-1991), who had acquired a great experience working for the harmonium and piano factory Delmarco & Bozzetta in Tesero at first and then for the well known piano factory Schulze Pollmann in Bolzano
The first productions were keyboards for pianos and several models of harmoniums, immediately appreciated for the quality and sonority in the domestic market.
From the 70ties, after the great development of electronic keyboards, the market of the traditional harmonium dropped remarkably and continuously, sothat the piano soundboards' production became the core-business of the firm.
In 1991,after the unexpected death of Enrico Ciresa, with the new management and the achievement of the trade-mark of the Magnifica Comunitá di Fiemme ,Ciresa developed its marketing in Europe and Overseas.
The strategy was to make the history of the "tree of music" known to the wide public, emphasizing the fact that A. Stradivari personally chose the spruce in the Fiemme Valley to make the tops of his famous violins, obtaining the extraordinary sound we can hear and appreciate.
The quality of the Ciresa soundboards for pianos, harps and harpsicords is well- known, recognized and requested by the makers of musical instruments all over the world. But this is not enough for Fabio Ognibeni, the general manager of E. Ciresa srl, a man with ideas in action. So in June 2006,after years of research and development,Ciresa launched a line of products, unique and innovative, with a new concept to listen to the music: Opere Sonore.
